The President of Lebanon Michel Aoun received Thursday Prime Minister Bishr Khasawneh at the Presidential Palace in Baabda.
The Prime Minister conveyed His Majesty King Abdullah’s greetings and wishes of continued good health to the Lebanese President, as well the King’s wishes of further prosperity and growth for the Lebanese people.
During the meeting, Khasawneh underscored Jordan’s support for the Lebanese government and people, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II.
For his part, the Lebanese President handed the premier a letter to His Majesty and commended King Abdullah’s supportive stances of Lebanon in international forums.
In press statements following his meeting with the Lebanese President, the Prime Minister underscored His Majesty’s ongoing support for Lebanon, pointing to a number of measures that Jordan will implement, in cooperation with Egypt, to meet the necessary and urgent needs of Lebanon.
