Minister of Labor Nayef Steitieh on Monday met with EU Ambassador to Jordan, Maria Hadjitheodosiou, and discussed means of cooperation between the ministry and the European Union delegation in Jordan, especially in the fields related to labor affairs.
Steitieh highlighted the ministry’s work priorities in the next stage, stressing the ministry’s keenness to implement the provisions of the labor law to regulate the labor market and ensure that employers provide a safe working environment for workers.
Hadjitheodosiou, in turn, stressed the bloc’s readiness to support programs that are agreed upon with the ministry in areas related to providing jobs for Jordanian youth.
