Kuwait city: The General Staff of the Army affirmed the continuation of military operations to counter successive waves of ballistic missile and drone attacks. Colonel Saud Atwan, the official spokesperson for the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defence, stated that these operations fall within the defensive duties assigned to the armed forces to protect Kuwait's airspace and safeguard its sovereignty.
According to Jordan News Agency, Atwan reported that debris fell at Ali Al Salem Air Base following the Air Defence Forces' interception of ballistic missiles and drones. This incident resulted in minor injuries to three armed forces personnel and limited material damage. He emphasized that the incident did not affect operational or combat readiness.
Atwan added that the Kuwaiti Air Defence Forces continue to intercept and respond to hostile threats through an integrated defence system. This reflects a high level of preparedness, operational capability, and coordination among various armed forces units. The spokesperson assured that the armed forces remain on full alert to carry out their duties and address any potential developments, ensuring the country's security and stability.
