Experts at the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and Korean universities on Monday visited the Al-Balqa’ Applied University (BAU) to follow up on the implementation of the project to develop middle university degree programs in Irbid and Karak university colleges.

In a meeting with the Korean experts, BAU President, Ahmed Ajlouni, underlined the importance of the joint project between the BAU, KOICA and Dong-a University to serve the university and its students, lauding the KOICA’s support for the university.

The expert team’s visit program includes holding intensive training courses to develop educational materials for courses offered within the developed programs, reviewing the various course plans and reviewing the progress in the buildings associated with the project and career development centers.

The BAU had signed an agreement with KOICA to develop technical education at the university, with an estimated cost of $10 million, including $6 million as a grant from the KOICA and $4 million in self-financing from the university to establish and rehabilitate its facilities and Karak and Irbid colleges’.
