King, Qatar Emir, Egypt President Discuss Regional Tensions with Western Leaders

Doha: His Majesty King Abdullah II engaged in a significant video call alongside Qatar Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and Egypt President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, with leaders from France, the United Kingdom, and Canada. The conversation included France President Emmanuel Macron, United Kingdom Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, and Canada Prime Minister Mark Carney.

According to Jordan News Agency, the royal court released a statement emphasizing King Abdullah II’s call for amplified regional and international efforts to halt Israeli violations of state sovereignty. The leaders collectively condemned Israel’s aggressive actions against Qatar and stressed the importance of the forthcoming international conference in New York, which aims to discuss the implementation of a two-state solution. This conference is seen as a critical step towards fostering dialogue and establishing a political pathway to peace.

The discussion, held in Doha during the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit, also addressed the necessity of ending the ongoing conflict in Gaza and examined the latest developments in the West Bank and Jerusalem. The leaders’ dialogue reflects a unified stance on the pressing need to resolve regional tensions and promote lasting peace.
