Baku:The King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) has entered into an agreement with Harlem Trading Agencies and Car Trading Company to assist in covering treatment expenses for cancer patients who cannot afford care at the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC).
According to Jordan News Agency, the agreement includes the donation of a Jetour vehicle by Harlem as a prize in the foundation's "Small Ticket, Big Chances for Recovery" fundraising campaign. A quarter of the proceeds from the campaign's ticket sales will be allocated to support the treatment of financially struggling patients.
The signing of the agreement was overseen by KHCF Director General Nisreen Qatamish and Ahmad Karki, who represented Harlem. Qatamish emphasized the importance of private sector partnerships in ensuring access to comprehensive cancer care for all patients, irrespective of their financial status.
She highlighted the agreement as an illustration of effective collaboration between businesses and humanitarian organizations in addressing patient needs and fostering community solidarity.
Karki commended the foundation for its efforts in alleviating the burden of cancer on patients and their families, noting KHCC's accomplishments in specialized treatment and medical research. He stated that Harlem's contribution underlines its commitment to corporate social responsibility and the role of businesses in enhancing lives beyond their commercial pursuits.
Karki also expressed optimism that the agreement would lead to ongoing cooperation with KHCF, providing further support to patients and their families. KHCF reiterated its dedication to expanding partnerships across various sectors to mobilize community support for financially disadvantaged patients requiring specialized treatment at KHCC.
