King, French President discuss bilateral relations, regional developments

His Majesty King Abdullah II on Saturday discussed with French President Emmanuel Macron bilateral relations and developments in the region.

In a phone call with President Macron, His Majesty reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening Jordan-France cooperation in all areas.

The conversation dealt with ways to expand bilateral cooperation, especially in areas related to food security.

The two leaders also reviewed the situation in the Palestinian territories, with His Majesty reiterating the need to end unilateral Israeli actions that undermine peace prospects.

His Majesty renewed his congratulations to President Macron on his re-election and wished him success in leading his country to greater progress and prosperity.
