King Abdullah University Hospital Secures ISO 22000 Certification Renewal

Amman: King Abdullah University Hospital (KAUH) has successfully renewed its ISO 22000:2018 certification for a new three-year cycle, effective from 2026 to 2029. This announcement was made by DNV, a global provider of quality management and certification services, highlighting the hospital's ongoing commitment to maintaining international standards in healthcare services.

According to Jordan News Agency, the hospital's Director General, Hassan Balas, emphasized the importance of periodic reviews and updates conducted by the certifying body to ensure compliance with evolving standards. Balas highlighted that KAUH's medical services are delivered under the ISO framework, aligning with international benchmarks for patient care. He noted that maintaining high quality is crucial for hospital rankings within Jordan.

Balas further elaborated that the renewal of the ISO certification is in line with the hospital's vision to remain a leading healthcare institution in the Kingdom. He stated that KAUH aims to be a distinguished center for high-quality medical and training services that meet both national and international standards.

Ahmed Yassin, head of the Quality Improvement Department, remarked that the certification renewal is a testament to the hospital's strategic planning since its inception. He pointed out that it underscores KAUH's full commitment to applying rigorous quality and patient-safety standards, reinforcing its dedication to excellence in healthcare.
