Amman: His Majesty King Abdullah II met with senior executives and founders of leading companies in the United Kingdom to discuss the expansion of economic cooperation across various promising sectors.
According to Jordan News Agency, during the meeting, King Abdullah II emphasized the long-standing partnership between Jordan and the UK, highlighting the commitment of both nations to strengthen economic and trade relations across multiple industries. The King noted that the meeting provided a valuable platform for deepening communication, sharing insights, and exploring areas of mutual interest to foster stronger, more impactful partnerships.
His Majesty stressed the importance of leveraging Jordan's investment advantages to enhance Jordanian-British partnerships. He pointed to Jordan's solid industrial foundation, efficient logistical networks, and access to major regional and global markets as key assets for expanding cooperation.
The meeting was attended by representatives from companies involved in sectors such as automotive, mining, energy, engineering, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, apparel and textiles, theme park design and development, and film and television production. Heads of chambers of commerce and industry from both countries were also present.
The attendees expressed their commitment to broadening bilateral cooperation and pursuing joint ventures across both nations' public and private sectors. Key Jordanian officials, including Director of the Office of His Majesty Alaa Batayneh, Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply Yarub Qudah, Minister of Investment Tareq Abu Ghazaleh, and Jordan's Ambassador to the UK Manar Dabbas, were also in attendance.
