King Abdullah II Embarks on State Visits to Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan

Amman: His Majesty King Abdullah II departed on Monday for a state visit to Uzbekistan, which will be followed by an official visit to Kazakhstan. During these visits, the King is scheduled to engage in high-level talks and attend significant bilateral events aimed at strengthening ties with both nations.

According to Jordan News Agency, King Abdullah II will first visit Samarkand, Uzbekistan, where he is set to hold talks with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The discussions will culminate in the exchange of cooperation agreements and protocols between the governments of Jordan and Uzbekistan, marking a new chapter in bilateral relations.

Following his engagement in Uzbekistan, King Abdullah II will proceed to Astana, Kazakhstan. There, he is scheduled to meet with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The visit will feature the exchange of memorandums of understanding and cooperation agreements, further solidifying the partnership between Jordan and Kazakhstan.

Additionally, King Abdullah II is expected to participate in the closing session of the Kazakhstan-Jordan Business Forum, an event that underscores the commitment to enhancing economic collaboration between the two countries.

In the King’s absence, His Royal Highness Prince Feisal bin Al Hussein was sworn in as Regent, ensuring continuity in governance, with the ceremony attended by Cabinet members.
