AMMAN: His Majesty King Abdullah II on Wednesday embarked on a diplomatic tour, beginning with an official visit to Egypt, followed by a visit to Cyprus.
According to Jordan News Agency, during his visit to Cairo, King Abdullah II is set to engage in discussions with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi. This visit underscores the ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral relations and address regional issues of mutual interest.
Following the visit to Egypt, King Abdullah II will travel to Nicosia, Cyprus, where he is scheduled to lead Jordan’s delegation at the fourth Trilateral Jordanian-Cypriot-Greek Summit. This summit aims to enhance cooperation among the three nations on various regional and international concerns.
Meanwhile, back in Jordan, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II has assumed the role of Regent. The official swearing-in ceremony took place in the presence of Cabinet members, ensuring the continuity of leadership during the King’s absence.
