King Abdullah II Discusses Regional Tensions with Gambia’s President

Amman: His Majesty King Abdullah II received a phone call from The Gambia President Adama Barrow, whose country is currently presiding over the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)'s 15th session of the Islamic Summit Conference. The leaders discussed the ongoing regional escalations and recent Iranian attacks on Jordan and several other Arab nations.

According to Jordan News Agency, King Abdullah II highlighted the need for increased international efforts to restore calm through dialogue and diplomatic means. He cautioned against using the situation as a justification to impede worshippers' access to Al Aqsa Mosque or alter the status quo in the West Bank and Gaza. President Barrow underscored the importance of maintaining restraint, adhering to international law, and ensuring the safety of civilians in the Middle East.
