Amman: His Majesty King Abdullah II met with Australia's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defense, Richard Marles, on Sunday. The meeting, also attended by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, focused on the enduring ties between Jordan and Australia and explored avenues for enhancing collaboration, particularly in military and security-related fields.
According to Jordan News Agency, the discussions also covered current regional developments, with King Abdullah II emphasizing the importance of international efforts to maintain the ceasefire agreement between the United States and Iran. The King highlighted that any resolution to the conflict must ensure the security of Arab states.
The meeting was also attended by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti, Director of the Office of His Majesty Alaa Batayneh, and Australia's Ambassador to Jordan Paula Ganly.
