Riyadh: The Jordan Tourism Board (JTB), in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, has successfully co-organized the second edition of the Jordanian Universities Exhibition in Saudi Arabia, recently inaugurated in Riyadh and Tabuk for 2026.
According to Jordan News Agency, the exhibition was sponsored by Jordan's Ambassador to Riyadh, Haitham Abul Foul, and featured participation from 20 public and private Jordanian universities and colleges. Specialized academies focusing on aviation, culinary arts, and hospitality were also part of the event. The exhibition is aligned with Jordan's national strategic plan to attract international students between 2023 and 2027.
The Jordan Tourism Board highlighted that its involvement in international education fairs is part of a broader strategic vision to position Jordan as a premier educational destination, complementing its established tourism and cultural reputation. These exhibitions serve as a direct engagement platform with prospective students and parents, offering insights into Jordan's educational environment, modern academic offerings, and facilities available to international students.
The board further noted that educational tourism plays a significant role in bolstering the national economy, with benefits extending to long-term stays and stimulation of the tourism and service sectors. The JTB stressed that by integrating higher education with cultural and tourism activities, Jordan provides international students with a holistic experience, enhancing the country's competitiveness as a preferred destination for study and living.
