Amman: The Jordanian Seismological Observatory (JSO) at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources on Wednesday recorded two earthquakes, measuring 3 on the Richter scale each, in the Dead Sea area and south of Wadi Araba.
JSO President Ghassan Sweidan said the first quake occurred at 6:36 am Amman time at a depth of 5.7 kilometers, while the other one was recorded at 7:20 am at a depth of 12 km.
“Such earthquakes are imperceptible to humans,” he added.
