JPACO seeks to address Jordanian-Palestinian agricultural sectors’ challenges-Director

The Jordanian Palestinian Agriculture Products Marketing Co. (JPACO) on Thursday, started contacting the two countries’ various agricultural sectors to overcome challenges.

According to a JPACO statement, the company’s general manager, Ala’a El-Din Abu Al-Khair, met with a number of vegetable and fruit farmers and exporters.

During the meeting, JPACO’s team explained its main goals, its action mechanism and the importance of its role in developing the Jordanian and Palestinian agricultural sectors, and supporting farmers, producers and exporters to advance the agricultural sector’s exports in both countries to reach global markets.

In addition, the team listened to the major challenges that affect marketing of agricultural crops and products and the mechanism of setting appropriate frameworks to deal with these hardships, the statement added.

Abu Al-Khair said the company is working within a “clear” roadmap, and a direct follow-up by Minister of Agriculture, Khaled Hneifat, within work mechanisms and an achievement-based timetable under the national plan for sustainable agriculture and the marketing axis in the two countries.

On future action to achieve shared goals, he noted these visits and meetings will continue with the two countries’ various agricultural sectors to address challenges.
