Jordan’s real estate market trade volume up by 26% at JD2.077bln over 5 months-DLS

Trade volume in the Kingdom’s real estate market climbed by 26% to reach JD2.077 billion in the first five months of 2022, compared to the same period last year.

According to the monthly report on Jordan’s real estate trading, which was released by Department of Lands and Survey (DLS) on Wednesday, revenues increased during the January-May period 2022 by 37% to reach about JD93.1 million.

The report showed a drop in the Kingdom’s real estate sales until the end of last May by 2%, as apartment sales rose by 5%, while land sales went down by 4%, compared to the same period in 2021.

At the monthly level, the volume of trading in Jordanian real estate market rose by 14% during last May, compared to the same month in 2021, to reach JD350 million.

In addition, revenues saw an increase last April by 29%, compared to the same month in 2021, to reach approximately JD16.1 million, the figures revealed.
