Jordan’s Exports to Syria Surge by 405% in First Half of 2025

Amman: Jordan’s exports to the Syrian market have experienced a significant increase, rising by 404.8% during the January-June period of this year.

According to Jordan News Agency, foreign trade data monitored by “Petra” and issued by the Department of Statistics (DoS) revealed a surge in national exports to Syria, reaching JD106 million, compared to JD21 million during the same period last year.

Conversely, the value of Jordan’s imports from Syria over the same period amounted to JD46 million, marking a 76.9% increase from JD26 million in the first half of the previous year.

The primary exports from Jordan to Syria include construction industries and materials such as cement, iron, marble, tiles, paints, and pipes. Additionally, electrical equipment, foodstuffs, and agricultural and chemical products constitute a significant portion of the exports.
