Amman: New registered companies in Jordan have seen a 13% increase during the first third of this year, in comparison to the same period in 2024. A total of 2,372 new entities were registered from January to April, up from 2,091 during the same span last year.
According to Jordan News Agency, the total registered capital for this period exceeded JD66 million. Among the newly registered companies, limited liability companies (LLCs) made up the largest portion, with 1,723 registrations constituting 72.6% of the total figure. These LLCs collectively had a capital exceeding JD36 million.
The data also indicated a significant 49% drop in the number of company dissolutions and deregistrations during the first third of the year. There were 376 companies deregistered or dissolved compared to 741 during the same period last year.
The CCD figures further revealed a 518% surge in capital increases, reaching approximately JD590 million, a substantial rise from about JD145 million in the same period last year. Within this framework, 624 companies increased their capital by approximately JD617 million, while 97 companies reduced their capital by about JD79 million.
