Jeddah:The Jordanian pavilion at the Saudifood Show and Saudifood Manufacturing 2026 exhibitions has attracted significant interest from visitors and traders. Since the events commenced on Sunday, 36 Jordanian food-industry companies have been showcasing their products.
According to Jordan News Agency, the Jordan Exporters Association, which organized Jordan's participation, stated that visitors have been particularly interested in the quality and variety of the products on display. The participating companies represent a wide range of food-related sectors, including oriental sweets, chocolate, bakeries, dairy products, grains, milling, starches, nuts and roasted products, soft drinks, food ingredients, and raw materials. The pavilion also features businesses specializing in packaging, industrial machinery, and equipment.
The exhibitions, spanning three days, include participation from 14 Arab countries and bring together about 1,000 exhibitors from 95 countries, showcasing roughly 100,000 food and beverage products. Approximately 25,000 food-sector professionals are attending the event.
Senator Ahmad Al-Khudari, President of the Jordan Exporters Association, emphasized that the Saudi market remains a crucial destination for Jordanian exports. This is bolstered by the close economic ties and geographic proximity between Jordan and Saudi Arabia, as well as cooperation between their private sectors. Al-Khudari highlighted Jordan's ongoing efforts to support exporters and promote national products in priority markets, noting Saudi Arabia's role as a gateway to Gulf and regional markets.
Al-Khudari also mentioned the potential for Jordanian companies to expand their presence in the Saudi market and diversify exports, especially in food industries and agricultural products. Jordanian food and agricultural items, such as dates, sweets, bakery products, and dairy, are already present in the Saudi market.
Halim Abu Rahmeh, Director General of the association, noted the pavilion's ability to draw visitors and traders interested in Jordan's products. He acknowledged the exhibitions' role in helping Jordanian companies explore new markets, promote their goods, and develop trade and investment partnerships. Abu Rahmeh emphasized the importance of international exhibitions in expanding Jordanian companies' production and export capacities.
He suggested that the next phase should focus on developing long-term export partnerships through more business meetings and expanding the network of importers and distributors. Additionally, adapting products to meet evolving market requirements is crucial for continued success.
