Jordanian pavilion at Oman’s Future Tech Expo & Summit 2022 launched

Information and Communications Technology Association of Jordan (Intaj) launched the Jordanian pavilion at Future Tech Expo & Summit 2022, which was recently held in Oman, in partnership with Ministry of Investment, with participation of 7 Jordanian companies operating in the information technology (IT) sector.

According to a statement on Wednesday, Intaj said its participation seeks to provide an opportunity for Jordanian companies operating in the IT sector to explore opportunities in the Omani market, which has “a good” added value.

Minister of Investment, Khairy Amro, stressed the importance of partnership with private sector, which is the “strategic” partner to carry out the ministry’s tasks by coordinating all activities and events held to highlight and display Jordanian products in an “appropriate” way.

The ministry jointly organizes these activities with ad hoc associations to support Jordanian industrialists and investors and contribute to bear part of the costs of their participation in international events, the minister said.

For his part, Intaj Chairman, Eid Sweis, said Jordanian companies aspire to enter Omani market, indicating that the Jordanian pavilion is a tool to acquaint interested people and companies in Oman with Jordanian expertise in IT sector.

Sweis said volume of IT sector’s exports to Oman does not meet ambitions, stressing Intaj’s keenness to make more efforts to enable Jordanian companies to enter Omani market in a “larger” manner.
