Jordanian parliamentary delegation meets Women, Children Committee at Bahraini Parliament

A joint meeting on Wednesday was held between the Parliamentary Standing Select Committee on Women and Child in the Bahraini Council of Reresentatives, chaired by by Mp Bader Al-Dosari, in the presence of Mayada Shreim, Marwa Al-Soub and Rima Al-Amoush from the Jordanian Lower House of Parliament.

The meeting, which was held on the sidelines of the Bahrain conference, currently being held at the invitation of the Arab Parliament, aims to enhance the principle of joint cooperation and activate parliamentary diplomacy between the two legislative councils.

The meeting also aimed to discuss mutual benefit and exchange of expertise and experiences between the two legislative institutions in the two countries.

Members of the Jordanian delegation expressed their pride in the Bahraini parliamentary experience, lauding the prestigious legislative level that the Kingdom of Bahrain has reached.

They also commended the distinguished level of relations between Jordan and Bahrain in various fields under the wise leaderships of the two countries.

For his part, Al-Dosari highlighted key topics discussed by the Women and Child Committee during the fifth legislative term.

He also presented the National Plan for the Advancement of Bahraini Women (2019-2022), stressing that Bahraini women enjoy continuous progress and equal opportunities for both genders thanks to the unlimited support they receive.
