Amman:A recent survey indicates that the majority of Jordanians express satisfaction with the country's healthcare system, as well as widespread health insurance coverage.
According to Jordan News Agency, the survey conducted by NAMA Strategic Intelligence Solutions between July 25 and September 6 gathered responses from 5,462 Jordanians across the nation. The findings show that 69.6 percent of respondents are satisfied with the medical services sector, and 67.8 percent report having health insurance.
Among those with health insurance, the breakdown is as follows: 57.3 percent have government insurance, 34.9 percent are covered by military insurance, 7.1 percent hold private insurance, and 2 percent are insured through university programs.
The survey also highlights high approval ratings among insured Jordanians for several aspects of healthcare. Of those surveyed, 86.8 percent are satisfied with the quality of care, 91.9 percent find healthcare affordable with 46.7 percent completely satisfied and 45.2 percent somewhat content and 79.1 percent are pleased with the accessibility of medical services. Additionally, 69.5 percent are satisfied with wait times.
Respondents praised key elements of the patient experience, such as patient privacy, clear communication from physicians, and the professional conduct of medical staff. Despite the overall high satisfaction, the survey identifies appointment availability and wait times as areas needing improvement.
