Munich:A Jordanian ministerial delegation has completed a visit to Munich, Germany, where it sought to expand investment partnerships and encourage German involvement in the upcoming Jordanian-European Investment Conference, planned for November 19 in Jordan.
According to Jordan News Agency, the delegation included key figures such as Minister of Transport and Labor Nidal Al-Qatamin, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Saleh Al-Kharabsheh, Minister of Investment Tareq Abu Ghazaleh, Jordanian Ambassador to Germany Fayez Khoury, and Chairman of the Jordan Industrial Estates Company Obaid Yaseen. Representatives from Jordan's private sector also participated, including Salah Bitar of the Jordanian Businessmen Association, Abdulrahman Bani Hani of Al-Zay Ready-Made Garments, Islam Al-Shdeifat of JoVision, and Yousef Shareena of ELREHA.
The meetings in Munich aimed to connect German companies' expertise and expansion plans with investment opportunities in Jordan. The discussions included prospects for investment cooperation and partnerships, positioning Jordan as a secure gateway for regional investment.
The delegation took part in the Munich Business and Technology Forum, attended by Bavaria's Deputy Prime Minister Hubert Aiwanger and senior German company representatives. They showcased Jordan's competitive advantages in high-value-added sectors.
A high-level Jordanian-German investment roundtable at the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs explored opportunities in transport, energy, industry, technology, and logistics. The delegation also visited Siemens' headquarters to discuss collaboration in smart infrastructure, energy, transport, and industrial digitalization.
Minister Al-Qatamin emphasized Jordan's plans to develop its transport sector and integrate smart solutions to enhance economic competitiveness. Al-Kharabsheh highlighted investment opportunities in Jordan's energy sector and the importance of partnerships with German companies for an efficient energy system. Abu Ghazaleh assured that Jordan offers a stable investment environment and is a platform for regional market expansion.
The delegation invited German companies to participate in the Jordanian-European Investment Conference at the Dead Sea, under Royal patronage, to explore available opportunities through direct meetings with project owners, government bodies, and financing institutions.
