Jordanian and Bahraini Kings Discuss Regional Truce Efforts

Amman: King Abdullah II of Jordan received a phone call from King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, focusing on efforts to mitigate regional tensions.

According to Union of OIC News Agencies, both leaders agreed on the importance of establishing a comprehensive truce to restore security and stability in the region. They expressed their opposition to Iranian attacks targeting both kingdoms as well as other Arab countries.

The Jordanian King highlighted the urgent need to cease Israeli attacks on Palestinians in the West Bank. He cautioned against using the current regional situation as a justification for altering the status quo in Jerusalem and the West Bank.
