Jordanian-American Diwan Launches Free Arabic Language Program in Southern California

Accra:Southern California The Jordanian-American Diwan of Southern California, a nonprofit community organization, has launched an initiative to provide free Arabic language instruction to members of the Jordanian community. This program is designed to strengthen the connection of younger generations to their mother tongue while fostering a sense of national identity and allegiance to Jordan.

According to Jordan News Agency, Farouk Jarrah, President of the Diwan's Administrative Board, stated that this initiative is part of the organization's ongoing efforts to serve the Jordanian community in the United States. It aims to preserve the Arabic language and introduce new generations to Jordan's history and national identity.

The program offers Arabic language lessons entirely free of charge, ensuring that all community members can benefit without any fees or tuition costs. Additionally, the program will introduce participants to Jordan's history and national values, helping younger generations maintain a bond with their homeland despite the geographical distance. Jarrah highlighted that the initiative results from the collective efforts of the Diwan's board members and seeks to create a space that unites the community around their language and culture.

Through this initiative, the Diwan aims to expand its role in serving the community and supporting future generations by offering programs that help preserve the Arabic language and Jordanian identity among Jordanians living abroad.
