Jordan Wins Presidency of ISESCO Executive Council

Rabat: The Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) on Wednesday announced the election of Dr. Nawaf Ajarmeh, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Education for Educational Affairs, representing Jordan, as President of the organization's Executive Council. The election took place during the council's meeting held in Rabat, the capital of Morocco.

According to Jordan News Agency, this achievement reflects Jordan's position at both the regional and global levels, and the Kingdom's "high level of trust" among ISESCO member states. This milestone also crowns a history of Jordanian contributions and continuous efforts, highlighting the Kingdom's role in strengthening joint action within the organization. It also reflects the appreciation for Jordanian expertise and the mutual trust that ISESCO member states place on Jordanian diplomacy.

This trust underscores the Kingdom's pivotal role, under its Hashemite leadership, in promoting the values of sustainable dialogue, peace, and development across the Islamic world. The statement noted this achievement is due to ongoing coordination and significant support from the Kingdom's embassies in ISESCO member nations.

Additionally, this step underscores Jordan's commitment to supporting ISESCO's objectives and its aspiration to continue working jointly with the organization's General Secretariat and member states. This vision would achieve aspirations of Islamic peoples for a brighter future in comprehensive development, knowledge, and innovation areas. The organization comprises 53 member states, geographically divided into four regions: Africa, the Arab States, Asia, and Latin America.
