Amman: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates welcomed on Tuesday the Syrian government’s decision to implement a ceasefire in the southern Syrian province of Sweida.
According to Jordan News Agency, the Ministry called for calm and restraint to prevent further bloodshed, protect civilians, uphold the rule of law, and ensure Syrian sovereignty over all its territories.
Ministry spokesperson Sufian Qudah stated that Jordan supports the Syrian government’s efforts to rebuild Syria on foundations that guarantee security, stability, unity, and sovereignty, while safeguarding the safety, rights, and security of all Syrians.
