Jordan Valley Authority Reports Dams Operating Efficiently, Water Storage Rises

Madaba: Secretary General of the Jordan Valley Authority Hisham Hayseh stated that all water facilities are operating efficiently and effectively, with promising quantities of water accumulated.

According to Jordan News Agency, Hayseh's remarks were made during an inspection tour of the Mujib, Zarqa Ma'in, and Wala dams in Madaba Governorate. The tour was part of periodic field monitoring aimed at assessing the technical condition, operational readiness, and safety of these water facilities.

Hayseh emphasized that technical and operational teams are managing the facilities and dams with a high level of professionalism and responsibility. This management is in line with approved technical procedures for monitoring, operation, and periodic maintenance. He noted that safety measures are being fully implemented to ensure that the dams efficiently accommodate inflowing water volumes as per approved engineering standards.

He also pointed out that recent weather conditions have contributed to the storage of approximately 25 million cubic meters of water, mainly in the King Talal and Wala dams. Hayseh commended the technical and engineering staff across all sites for their role in maintaining the safety and operational efficiency of the water facilities.
