Amman: Jordan has unveiled its National Strategy for the Management Consulting Sector, aiming to bolster the sector’s role in economic growth from 2025 to 2028. Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply Yarub Qudah emphasized the necessity of clear strategies to enhance export capacity, access new markets, and develop competitive products, asserting that the challenge extends beyond local confines to global markets.
According to Jordan News Agency, the strategy was launched with the intent to fortify Jordan’s economy, positioning the private sector as a catalyst for growth across various industries such as tourism, trade, and services. Qudah stressed the importance of political and economic support, credible political parties, and the involvement of think tanks and national expertise in decision-making.
Qudah highlighted the management consulting sector’s role in re-qualifying the private sector and political parties to fulfill their national responsibilities. He noted the sector’s historical significance in building regional institutions and its potential to meet future demands by establishing pillars to enhance the national economy, create jobs, and transform regional challenges into opportunities.
The strategy, developed by the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Supply alongside the Jordan Chamber of Commerce, seeks to elevate the reliability and competitiveness of Jordanian consulting services on a local, regional, and global scale. It aims to balance the business environment, develop supportive systems, legislation, and policies, and create a national database to aid future planning and performance evaluation.
The implementation plan outlines three key objectives: maintaining an updated qualitative sector database, refining the legislative framework, and supporting growth opportunities for firms in various markets. This plan will follow specific timelines and performance indicators subject to annual review.
Khalil Haj Tawfiq, Chairman of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce, described the strategy as a comprehensive roadmap to bolster the sector’s economic contribution, stimulate sustainable growth, and enhance Jordan’s competitiveness. He underscored the strategy’s emphasis on legal updates, public-private partnerships, digital transformation, and youth empowerment.
Jamal Rifai, Chair of the Management Consulting Sector Steering Committee, described the sector as essential for administrative development and growth strategies. He emphasized the strategy’s commitment to elevating the sector, driving investment, increasing productivity, and expanding market access for consulting firms.
