Amman: The Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Ayman Safadi and his Tunisian counterpart Mohamed Ali Nafti engaged in discussions on strengthening relations and addressing escalating regional tensions during a phone call.
According to Jordan News Agency, Safadi and Nafti expressed their commitment to advancing cooperation across various sectors. They also reviewed the situation in the occupied West Bank, criticizing the illegal Israeli violations at Al-Aqsa Mosque. They warned that these actions "breach international law, fuel instability, and undermine prospects for a just peace." The ministers discussed ongoing diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions across the region.
Safadi and Nafti reaffirmed their support for dialogue aimed at upholding the US-Iran ceasefire. They advocated for a comprehensive agreement addressing the root causes of conflict and ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
