Los Angeles:Amman Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) has successfully concluded the US segment of its "Bridging Connections" tour, marking its largest promotional roadshow in North America in 2026. This initiative, according to a board statement released on Thursday, was aimed at enhancing Jordan's global tourism presence and expanding collaborations with US tour operators and travel advisers.
According to Jordan News Agency, the roadshow included stops in Chicago, Los Angeles, and Dallas, which attracted significant engagement from representatives of the US tourism sector and Jordanian tourism companies. The events were centered on establishing new partnerships and promoting Jordan's varied tourism offerings, which include religious, luxury, and adventure tourism.
The stop in Los Angeles witnessed the highest level of participation, while in Dallas, operators focused on religious tourism expressed interest in developing specialized programs in Jordan. This includes visits to the Baptism Site, as the country prepares for the celebration of the second millennium of the baptism of Jesus Christ in 2023.
Additionally, Royal Jordanian's direct flights between Dallas-Fort Worth and Amman have facilitated cooperation opportunities and increased the influx of American visitors to Jordan. As part of the tour, Royal Jordanian provided participants with tickets to Jordan as prizes, thereby enhancing interaction between partners and Jordanian tourism companies, and supporting the conversion of professional meetings into business deals and tangible tourism bookings.
Hussein Hilalat, chairman of the Jordan Hotel Association (JHA), emphasized the commitment of the hotel sector to national tourism promotion through its participation. He noted that direct meetings with leading US tour operators create opportunities for sustainable partnerships and open new markets for Jordanian hotels and resorts.
Hani Dabbas, a board member and media spokesperson for the JTB, highlighted the tour's encouraging outcomes, mentioning the interest shown by US tourism companies in incorporating Jordan into their programs. He stated that the JTB is focused on converting these meetings into actual bookings and enhancing cooperation with partners in the US market.
The JBT is continuing its promotional efforts in North America, with the tour's final stop scheduled in Mexico City. This is part of the board's strategy to broaden its international partner network and bolster Jordan's competitiveness as an integrated tourist destination. The JBT also highlighted the diversity of its tourism offerings and the direct air links with the US market.
