Jordan to Host Second Edition of West Asian Women’s Volleyball Championship

Amman: The Jordan Volleyball Federation has officially signed an agreement with the West Asian Volleyball Federation to host the second edition of the West Asian Women’s Volleyball Championship in Amman. The event is scheduled to take place from October 1 to 11.

According to Jordan News Agency, the signing ceremony was attended by members of the Jordan Volleyball Federation’s Board of Directors. Jihad Qteishat, Advisor to the President of the Jordan Volleyball Federation, expressed pride in hosting the regional event under the leadership of Her Royal Highness Princess Ayah bint Faisal. He stated that the championship aligns with the Federation’s strategy to enhance the technical level of national teams by offering opportunities to compete against strong opponents.

Qteishat emphasized the Federation’s commitment to implementing technical programmes aimed at developing and participating in Arab, Asian, and West Asian competitions. He acknowledged the efforts of the national teams and their technical and administrative staff.

Ali Kuwari, President of the West Asian Volleyball Federation, expressed gratitude towards the Jordan Volleyball Federation for its support in regional volleyball events. He mentioned that the upcoming championship is organized in cooperation with the International Volleyball Federation and is recognized in international rankings.

The agreement was signed by Vice President Suleiman Al-Assaf on behalf of the Jordan Volleyball Federation and by Secretary-General Mohammed Salem Kuwari for the West Asian Volleyball Federation.
