Amman: The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs, Majed Qatarneh, and the Chairman of the Arab Union for Gold and Jewellery, Nayef Al-Enezi, have officially signed an agreement to establish the union’s headquarters in Jordan. This significant development marks a strategic move to position Jordan as a pivotal player in the gold and jewelry sector within the region.
According to Jordan News Agency, the Arab Union for Gold and Jewellery is affiliated with the Council of Arab Economic Unity, which falls under the Arab League. This agreement is expected to not only enhance Jordan’s standing as a regional hub but also to foster partnerships and cooperation in the gold and jewelry industry.
The agreement’s objectives include developing collaborative programs and facilitating the exchange of expertise in trade and manufacturing. This initiative is anticipated to contribute significantly to the growth of the industry, benefiting both Jordan and the wider region.
