Jordan Seeks Public Contributions to Expand National Heritage Archive

Amman: The Ministry of Culture has renewed its call for citizens to contribute to the "Stories from Jordan" digital platform as part of efforts to preserve and document the kingdom's national narrative and cultural heritage.

According to Jordan News Agency, the ministry said Wednesday that the platform, launched in March, aims to strengthen community participation in documenting Jordan's history, traditions, and collective memory through public submissions.

The initiative encourages Jordanians to share stories, experiences, and cultural content linked to the country's historical and social heritage, helping enrich a growing national archive for future generations.

The platform, available at Stories from Jordan, allows users to upload written stories, photographs, audio recordings, and short video clips through a dedicated "Share Your Story / Content" section.

Officials said the initiative is designed to document popular narratives and heritage material in various forms, including personal memories, historical accounts, and cultural traditions that reflect different dimensions of Jordanian identity.

The ministry added that the platform promotes broader societal engagement through messages encouraging citizens to participate in preserving Jordan's rich history and cultural legacy.

The initiative forms part of wider efforts to build a digital national archive that documents the Jordanian narrative and safeguards cultural heritage for future generations.
