Amman: The Jordan River Foundation (JRF) and the Technical and Vocational Skills Development Commission (TVTC) have formalized a partnership through a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to foster collaboration in vocational and technical education and training. This agreement aims to develop work-based learning programs and facilitate the exchange of knowledge and expertise between the two organizations.
According to Jordan News Agency, the MoU was signed by Enaam Brishi, the Director General of the Jordan River Foundation, and Raghda Faouri, the Chairperson of the Technical and Vocational Skills Development Commission. The focus of the agreement is to enhance the systems for recognizing prior learning and to implement a work-based learning approach in Jordan.
The partnership is designed to build individual capacities by preparing evidence and assessment tools. This will be done in collaboration with technical committees from sectoral councils and the private sector, all under the supervision of the Skills D
evelopment Commission.
Additionally, the agreement supports the development of professional standards and educational curricula. It also aims to implement training programs that are aligned with the requirements of the private sector, following the National Strategy for Career Guidance and Counseling for 2023-2033.
Both the Jordan River Foundation and the Technical and Vocational Skills Development Commission have stressed the significance of improving the efficiency of work teams and reviewing international best practices. This initiative is part of their effort to achieve sustainable development in line with the Economic Modernization Vision framework.
