Jordan Response Plan funding stands at $52.1m so far-Planning Ministry

The Jordan Response Plan (JRP), the national response to the Syrian refugee crisis, has received $52.1 million so far, constituting %2.1 of the annual funding scheme, according to the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation.

The funding required stands at $2.432 million and the shortfall stands at $2.379 million , according to the funding status report for the JRP 2021.

Of the amount secured, $34.2 million went to supporting refugees, $14 million for host communities, $1.5 for developing institutional capacity-building projects, $2.4 million for Covid-19 response, while no funding was channelled to support the Treasury, the report’s data showed.

To date, the United States is the top donor to the JRP 2021, according to the figures, with donations amounting to around $12.5 million, followed by Germany at $11.5 million, while $8.8 were channelled from diverse world funding institutions, the ministry’s figures revealed.
