Jordan Ranks 88th on Global Knowledge Index

Amman: Jordan ranked 88th out of 141 countries on the Global Knowledge Index (GKI) in the first quarter of the year, underlining national efforts to enhance the country’s standing in key global benchmarks.

According to Jordan News Agency, figures from the 2025 first quarter report of the Economic Modernization Vision 2023-2025 Executive Program revealed that the government has verified and collected data on variables in the pillar of education and pre-university education as well as higher education, and sent these to the UNESCO Institute for Statistics.

The report showed that the government, in cooperation with the Department of Statistics, has built the capacity of 25 national data liaison officers for education sector variables. It also conducted a study on missing data for the GKI pillar variables in the Jordan 2024 report. The study identified 10 variables with missing data, and that work is underway to provide data on these.
