Jordan participates in TTG Travel Experience in Italy

Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) is currently taking part in the TTG Travel Experience Tourism Fair, which is held from October 12 to 14 in the Italian city of Rimini, with participation of 27 Jordanian tourism agencies, in addition to Royal Jordanian (RJ) and Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA).

 

According to a JTB statement on Thursday, Minister of Tourism, Nayef Fayez, stressed the importance of participating in the exhibition, which is considered the largest event in Italy to promote global tourism and market its tourist offers all over the world, pointing to the need to harness the event in promoting the Kingdom.

 

Fayez said the exhibition is a “great” opportunity to strengthen relations among tourism industry stakeholders, discuss the key obstacles facing the sector, and submit proposals aimed to achieve related growth and face challenges.

 

Highlighting importance of the Italian market, he said number of Italian tourists to Jordan until September reached about 41,000, adding that about 24,000 unified tickets werre sold.

 

Fayez said JTB is “keen” to participate in such international exhibitions to promote Jordan’s tourist destinations, as well as to communicate “effectively” to identify demands and proposals of travel stakeholders participating in the event and enhance means of joint cooperation.

 

For his part, JTB Director General, Abdul Razzaq Arabiyat, said JTB is participating in the exhibition through its pavilion, and will hold activities and over 3 days and talks with more than 30 various Italian and international tourism and travel agencies, focusing on promoting Jordan and discuss ways of joint cooperation.

 

JTB, he noted, launched an advertising campaign in Italy that included public transport means and various billboards at shopping centers, streets, and metro stations.

 

The Kingdom’s attraction of low-cost airlines will contribute to a significant increase in tourism from Italy, he said, noting that tourism from Italy is currently the highest for the Kingdom, he pointed out
