The Ministry of Industry and Trade, Jordan’s state grain buyer, has issued an international tender to buy 120,000 tonnes of milling wheat, as part of its policy to maintain “strategic” stock of grain.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the ministry said the tender closes on next July 6.
In procurement operations, the ministry relies on periodic tenders to ensure “sufficient” wheat stock for safe periods.
