Amman: The Jordan International Food Festival on Saturday dispatched its third convoy of relief aid to the Gaza Strip, in collaboration with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization. The convoy included food and medical supplies contributed by participating companies, institutions, individuals, and representatives from the private sector.
According to Jordan News Agency, the total aid provided through this campaign amounts to 300 tons of food supplies, delivered in three separate batches before and during the festival, to ensure the continuous support of Gaza’s residents. Jordan, led by His Majesty King Abdullah II, remains committed to assisting the Gaza Strip by delivering humanitarian and relief aid in various ways, stated Abdul Razzaq Arabiyat, Director General of the Jordan Tourism Board.
Arabiyat emphasized that the aid convoys are a reflection of His Majesty the King’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause and his dedication to aiding the people of Gaza in overcoming their humanitarian and livelihood challenges. “This initiative highlights Jordan’s solidarity with Gaza and reinforces our commitment to bolstering the resilience of its residents in the face of adversity,” he told Petra.
Anas Al-Adwan, spokesperson of the Jordan Tourism Board, highlighted that the campaign represents the Jordanian private sector’s dedication to social responsibility and the values that the Kingdom strives to promote in its humanitarian efforts. Al-Adwan noted that the donation portal would remain open throughout the festival, encouraging broader participation from various sectors and communities.
Alaa Dweikat, Project Coordinator at the Amman Chamber of Industry, mentioned that these donations and aid are expected to increase, aiming to cover more of the needs of Gaza’s residents. The festival will showcase 165 Jordanian entrepreneurial projects, 76 women from the local community, 180 Jordanian restaurants, and 20 food factories, supporting 38 local communities via productive kitchens, handicrafts, and authentic experiences led by local men and women.
The Jordan Tourism Board has also announced that all ticket proceeds from the Jordan International Food Festival 2025 will be donated to the children of Gaza.
