Jordan, India Discuss Military Cooperation

Amman: Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Hunaiti met on Wednesday at the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) with Indian Ambassador to Jordan, Manish Chauhan. They discussed the prospects of expanding military cooperation and addressed regional and international developments of common interest.

According to Jordan News Agency, Hunaiti highlighted the close Jordanian-Indian relations, emphasizing the importance of building on existing military cooperation. He stressed the need to activate expertise exchange and capacity-building programs through joint exercises and training.

The Indian envoy commended Jordan's pivotal role, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, in supporting regional stability. He also noted the humanitarian efforts of the JAF, both within and outside the Kingdom.
