Amman: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has condemned Israel's repeated violations of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, which have recently resulted in dozens of deaths and injuries.
According to Jordan News Agency, the Ministry stated that these actions represent a breach of the ceasefire and a dangerous escalation that undermines both regional and international efforts to achieve security and stability in Gaza. Ministry spokesperson Fouad Majali expressed Jordan's strong condemnation of these violations and emphasized the need to adhere to the ceasefire agreement, aligning with US President Donald Trump's plan and UN Security Council Resolution 2803.
Majali highlighted the importance of ensuring the immediate and unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza. He stressed the necessity of implementing the second phase of the ceasefire agreement and called on the international community to fulfill its legal and moral responsibilities in ensuring Israel's compliance with the ceasefire.
Furthermore, Majali urged all parties to avoid actions that could undermine de-escalation efforts and advocated for progress toward a political solution. He reiterated the vision of establishing an independent and sovereign Palestinian state based on the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with the two-state solution, relevant international legitimacy resolutions, and the Arab Peace Initiative.
