Jordan and US Explore Strengthening Youth Program Cooperation.

Amman: Minister of Youth Yazan Shdeifat and United States Ambassador to Jordan Yael Lempert discussed ways to enhance collaboration in youth-centered initiatives during a meeting held on Sunday evening at the Ministry. The focus of their discussions was on advancing joint programs aimed at equipping the youth with essential skills for active participation in public life.

According to Jordan News Agency, the key areas of focus included leadership, innovation, and English language training. The meeting also addressed initiatives to combat drug abuse, promote health and climate awareness, and enhance employability skills. Shdeifat commended the partnership with the US Agency for International Development (USAID) for its support in implementing the pillars of Jordan’s National Youth Strategy.

He highlighted USAID’s role in backing the ministry’s efforts to empower youth and enhance the capacities of those working in the sector. The collaboration aims to foster an environment where young individuals can develop
skills necessary for their personal and professional growth. The ongoing support from USAID is seen as integral to achieving the objectives outlined in the National Youth Strategy.
