Jordan and Qatar Seek to Enhance Parliamentary Ties

Amman: The Lower House's Jordanian-Qatari Parliamentary Brotherhood Committee, led by MP Abdul Raouf Rbeihat, engaged in discussions on Wednesday to explore ways to strengthen relations with Qatar's Ambassador to Jordan, Sheikh Saud bin Nasser bin Jassim Al Thani.

According to Jordan News Agency, Rbeihat highlighted the longstanding coordination that underpins Jordanian-Qatari relations, noting ongoing advancements in the political, economic, and investment sectors, which are bolstered by the leadership of both nations. He emphasized the significant role of parliamentary diplomacy in fortifying these ties through visits, exchanges of expertise, and coordination between Jordan's Lower House and Qatar's Shura Council.

The Qatari ambassador echoed these sentiments, affirming the strong strategic ties between the two countries, which are grounded in mutual respect and constructive cooperation. He emphasized the bilateral commitment to expanding partnerships across various fields, noting the continuous development of relations at political, economic, investment, and cultural levels. The ambassador also mentioned that ongoing consultations reflect the deep historic and brotherly ties between Jordan and Qatar.
