Doha: The King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) has entered into a $5 million partnership agreement with the Qatar Fund for Development, struck during the Doha Forum 2025. The agreement was signed in the presence of Her Royal Highness Princess Ghida Talal, chairperson of the KHCF, and Sheikh Thani bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, chairperson of the Qatar Fund for Development.
According to Jordan News Agency, the agreement aims to support cancer patients from Gaza by covering treatment costs at the King Hussein Cancer Center. It also seeks to provide psychological and social support services to patients and their families, helping to mitigate the psychological burdens associated with the treatment process.
Princess Ghida highlighted that the State of Qatar is a significant supporter of humanitarian causes worldwide, with a history of providing assistance to patients and people affected by conflicts and disasters. She expressed pride in the established partnership between the King Hussein Cancer Center and the Qatar Fund for Development.
The agreement was signed by Fahad bin Hamad Sulaiti, Director General of the Qatar Fund for Development, and Nisreen Qatamish, Director General of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation. This cooperation underscores Jordan's and Qatar's commitment to supporting regional stability and achieving sustainable development that addresses the needs of vulnerable groups.
