Jordan and Palestine Formalize Agreement for Public Sector Development

Amman: Jordanian Academy for Government Administration and the Palestinian National School of Administration have officially signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to collaborate on public sector capacity-building. This agreement focuses on enhancing joint cooperation in training, consulting, and administrative development to strengthen the capacity of public sectors in both nations.

According to Jordan News Agency, the MoU aims to establish a framework for cooperation and the exchange of expertise between the two countries. This initiative seeks to develop and implement joint training and capacity-building programs specifically for the public sector.

Under the terms of the MoU, both parties will also work together on research, studies, consulting, public policy development, innovation, digital transformation in the government sector, event organization, and other related areas. The agreement was formalized by Dr. Mustafa Hamarneh, Chairman of the Jordanian Academy, and Musa Abu Zeid, Chairman of the Palestinian National School of Administration.

During the signing ceremony, Dr. Hamarneh emphasized that the strong relations between Jordan and Palestine serve as a crucial foundation for enhancing administrative empowerment in both countries. He stated that the MoU reflects the academy's dedication to building partnerships with Arab institutions, aiming to develop training programs and enhance public sector efficiency.

Dr. Hamarneh also highlighted the collaboration's goal to exchange institutional expertise and develop joint quality initiatives that align with global best practices in government work, thus contributing to corporate excellence.

Musa Abu Zeid remarked that the agreement is an important step towards strengthening cooperation and exchanging expertise in management and training fields. He expressed optimism that the collaboration would be beneficial to both sides, facilitating the development of government competencies and enhancing institutional work.

Abu Zeid noted that an agreement has been reached to implement a set of remote training packages and programs, which will enable the participation of trainees from both sides. He assured that all resources available at the Palestinian school would be dedicated to ensuring the success of this cooperation and the achievement of mutual goals.
