Jordan and Libya Ink Agreement to Enhance Economic Collaboration

Tripoli: President of the Jordan Chamber of Industry, Fathi Jaghbir, and President of the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture of Libya, Mohamed Al Raied, have signed an agreement in Tripoli to enhance cooperation and expand opportunities between business communities and economic institutions in both countries.

According to Jordan News Agency, Jaghbir stated that the agreement establishes a foundation for a new phase in Jordanian-Libyan economic and trade relations, facilitating trade exchange and the sharing of industrial expertise. He highlighted the potential of the Libyan market and noted that Jordanian products are well positioned to compete there.

The agreement outlines the creation of a joint business council to promote cooperation, boost trade volume, encourage investments, and support joint projects in both nations. It also provides for the exchange of information, legislation, journals, and directories related to industry and commerce; the organization of seminars, discussion forums, and conferences; the facilitation of business delegations; and the provision of necessary support and facilities for businessmen. Regular meetings will be held to review implementation mechanisms and propose measures to develop and sustain economic relations.
