Amman: Minister of Transport Wissam Tahtamouni engaged in discussions with Kazakh Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry Madiyev Zhaslan to explore joint cooperation in the aviation sector. The talks, held at the ministry’s headquarters, centered on exchanging expertise in modern technology and innovation, with a focus on exploring strategic partnerships in aviation and digital transformation.
According to Jordan News Agency, Tahtamouni emphasized the strong bilateral relations between Jordan and Kazakhstan, reinforcing a mutual desire to enhance cooperation. He highlighted the meeting as an opportunity to share knowledge and explore new avenues for collaboration, especially given the rapid global advancements in digital transformation, innovation, and aviation.
Tahtamouni expressed the Ministry’s readiness to support initiatives aimed at establishing joint projects that integrate modern technology to serve shared interests, contribute to sustainable development, and adapt to global changes in the aviation sector.
Kazakh Minister Zhaslan expressed pride in the strong bilateral ties and a desire to expand cooperation in modern aviation technology, a sector experiencing significant growth. He hoped the discussions would lead to projects and partnerships with Jordan, serving common interests.
Zhaslan noted that this meeting follows the visit of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Kemeluly Tokayev to Jordan, during which agreements and memoranda of understanding were signed to enhance cooperation in investment, industry, energy, trade, and media, building on previous agreements in various sectors.
The meeting aligns with Jordan’s efforts to strengthen international partnerships in technology and logistics and to leverage advanced international experiences in digital transformation and innovation in the aviation sector, as stated by the Ministry of Transport.
The discussions concluded with an exchange of commemorative shields, symbolizing the depth of the relations and the aspiration to enhance bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest, thus reinforcing the friendship between the two nations.
