Jordan and Iraq Strengthen Bilateral Relations Amid Regional Tensions

Amman: Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Ayman Safadi held a telephone conversation with Iraqi Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein to discuss ways to strengthen relations and review regional developments.

According to Jordan News Agency, Safadi and Hussein emphasized the need to intensify efforts to end the current regional escalation and restore calm. They advocated for a comprehensive solution to the ongoing tensions, focusing on principles that ensure lasting security and stability, uphold international law, and promote good-neighborly relations.

During the conversation, Safadi also congratulated Hussein on his reappointment as Iraq's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs in the new Iraqi government.
